Care Home Apartments

Creation of two additional apartments in care home through a basement conversion..

City Care Partnership is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of specialist services for adults with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Condition (with associated learning disabilities). EOHMA were instructed to prepare a planning application for the conversion of the existing basement to create a flat to be accessed by stairs from the front elevation.

The existing property is located in one of Manchester’s suburbs and the general street scene is composed of large Victorian semi detached properties, many of which have been converted into flats. The existing semi detached property is currently divided into three flats and occupies a prominent position on the street.

The proposed flat consists of a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and storage space. One of the bedrooms will be used as a staff room space with ensuite toilet and shower space. The lightwells and stair access have been carefully positioned and sized to be in keeping with the existing windows and neighbouring properties.
