House Extension, Flixton

Simon and Jo are an enthusiastic couple that selected EOHMA as Architects for the extension and remodel of their three bedroom semi in the Greater Manchester village of Flixton.

They had tons of ideas that they wanted to infuse within the project. Over the years they had collected items of furnishings, paintings, objects and developed a love for raw, honest materials which became apparent from the first meeting.   During our early discussions it became apparent that a key challenge within the existing kitchen was that it had become hard to maintain and no longer reflected the lifestyle and aspiration of their family. 

EOHMA helped to bring more clarity to the discussion, suggesting clever uses of space and strategies which helped to inform their brief.  The result was a design that that captured their desire to create a low maintenance, beautifully crafted home that they could easily manage around busy schedules that included demanding jobs and extra curriculum activities for their children.

Simon and Jo are extremely happy that their beautiful home is now complete and can share it with family and friends. The project demonstrates that thoughtful and personalised design can really change lives.
